We built our 20+ person team overseas in the last year.

Here are the best regions to hire from for each role:

1. Philippines

Generally the cheapest region.

Known for virtual assistants and lower-level roles.

Some major issues:

- Opposite timezone to the US

- Cultural differences

- Unstable internet

- Extreme weather

We've had too many issues and stopped hiring there.

2. Eastern Europe

Great for software developers. Hard-working culture.

Often around 50% cheaper than the US, and you can find similar top-tier quality.

The timezone difference isn't as extreme and you overlap a few hours of the work day at least.

3. India

Low cost and huge talent pool. Known for accounting.

Some high-quality talent, but hard to find and vet if you aren't from there.

Cultural differences are significant. Timezone issue as well.

We avoid it because it is too easy to get scammed.

4. Latin America

Our favorite.

Only one in the same timezone as the US.

Great English & most similar culturally.

About 70% cheaper than the US with amazing talent across development, finance, marketing, sales, & operations. Even for senior roles.
